About
Personal security shouldn’t need
a security team
We’re building NexGuard because the tools that tell you whether your phone is safe are either enterprise dashboards or ad-funded “cleaners” that scare you into upgrading. Neither respects you. We wanted something honest, private, and genuinely useful.
Honest by design · Private by default · Genuinely useful
Our mission
Give one person a clear, trustworthy picture of their digital security — and the specific, ranked steps to improve it — without surveillance, dark patterns, or invented threats. NexGuard should make you safer and calmer, not more anxious.
The problem we’re solving
Modern phones are secure by default, but the settings that matter are scattered across dozens of screens, and it’s hard to know what actually moves the needle. Meanwhile, a whole category of “security” apps profits from fear — flashing fake infections and vague scores you can’t verify. People deserve a straight answer.
How we’re different
- AI explains, it never decides. Scores and verdicts come from deterministic engines you can reason about. The AI only translates results into plain language — it can’t manufacture a number or overrule the rules.
- Encrypted on device by default. Your vault is encrypted on your device; we store only ciphertext. We designed the system so we can’t read your private data, even if asked.
- No hidden monitoring. Nothing runs silent surveillance. Scam and link checks happen only on content you choose to share, when you ask.
- Honest about limits. If a check can’t run on your device, we say so plainly — and we describe what NexGuard actually does, never a capability it doesn’t have.
- Play-policy first. We request only the permissions a real feature needs, and prefer routing through Android’s own facilities over invasive workarounds.
Our philosophy
Security advice is only useful if it’s consistent and explainable. That’s why the hard decisions in NexGuard are deterministic and testable, and why we won’t trade your privacy for engagement. We’d rather build something smaller that you can fully trust than something flashy you can’t.
Who it’s for
NexGuard is built for individuals who take their own digital safety seriously — and, as we grow, for families who want a shared view without shared secrets. It’s intended for people aged 13 and older.
NexGuard is available on Android. If an honest, privacy-first approach to security resonates with you, get started free — and tell us what would make it indispensable for you.
