This website is deliberately light on tracking. Here’s exactly what we store in your browser and why.
This document is written in plain language for clarity and reflects how NexGuard actually works today. It is a good-faith template and not legal advice — have it reviewed by qualified counsel and localized for your jurisdiction before you rely on it in production.
What we store
- Theme preference (light/dark) — stored in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers your choice.
- Announcement dismissal — a small flag so a banner you closed stays closed.
Those two are stored locally in your browser, are not sent to our servers, and are never used to track you across other sites.
That is the whole list. Nothing on this site is set by a third party. A live-chat widget used to be, and it was removed — it loaded on every page whether or not anyone opened it, which meant handing a third party the IP address and reading history of people visiting a privacy product's website in order to save them one click.
What we don’t use
- No advertising cookies.
- No cross-site tracking or fingerprinting.
- No selling of browsing data.
Essential service cookies
If you sign in to the NexGuard service, strictly necessary cookies or tokens may be used to keep you securely authenticated. These are required for the service to function and cannot be disabled while signed in.
Managing storage
You can clear this site’s local storage and cookies at any time from your browser settings. Doing so simply resets your theme and dismissal preferences.
Other third parties
We load fonts from Google Fonts to render the site. Aside from that, and — where you use it — Google Play for purchases, this site embeds nothing from anybody else: no advertising network, no analytics product, no chat widget, no tag manager. Every other script and style it loads is served from this domain.
