You own your account, and you can delete it — permanently, and with all of its data — whenever you want. This page explains how to do it inside the app, how to request deletion by email if you can’t sign in, and exactly what is removed. It applies to every plan: Free, Pro and Family.
This document is written in plain language for clarity and reflects how NexGuard actually works today. It is a good-faith template and not legal advice — have it reviewed by qualified counsel and localized for your jurisdiction before you rely on it in production.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way, and the one we recommend. It takes under a minute:
- Open NexGuard and go to the Account tab.
- Open Profile.
- Scroll to the Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Confirm your password when asked, then confirm the deletion.
Your account and its data are deleted straight away, you’re signed out on that device, and the action cannot be undone.
Delete your account by email
If you can’t sign in to the app, you can still ask us to delete your account. Email support@nexonixsystems.com from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We use the sending address to confirm the request is really yours, and we’ll delete the account and confirm by reply. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes it and the data tied to it, including:
- Your account record — email address and hashed password.
- Your security-scan history, scores, findings and settings.
- Your vault: the encrypted items and files we stored for you are erased — both the ones sealed with your device key and any stored under the hosted key. Deletion removes the ciphertext entirely either way.
- Your active sessions and sign-in history.
- Any household or family membership tied to the account.
Deletion is permanent. We can’t recover a deleted account, so please export anything you want to keep first.
What may be kept, and why
After deletion we may retain a limited amount of data only where the law requires it or to protect the service — for example, minimal records needed for security, fraud-prevention, tax or accounting. Anything retained is kept for no longer than necessary and then deleted or anonymized. We do not keep your vault contents — the items sealed with your device key we never could read, and the hosted-key items we can but do not retain after deletion — and we do not sell any of your data. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Cancel a paid subscription first
If you’re on Pro or Family, your subscription is managed by Google Play, not by us. Deleting your NexGuard account does not automatically cancel Google Play billing. Cancel the subscription in the Google Play Store → Subscriptions before or after deleting your account so you aren’t charged again. See our Billing Policy.
Deleting the app vs deleting your account
Uninstalling the NexGuard app removes it from your phone but does not delete your account or the data on our servers. To remove your account and data, use one of the methods above.
