One place to understand —
and fix — your security

Stop hunting through a dozen Android settings screens. NexGuard reads the signals that matter, scores them the same way every time, and hands you a short list of fixes ranked by impact.

One clear score · Ranked fixes · Re-scan any time

Your security, one scoreDeterministic. Explainable. Yours.

For individuals

Everything you need to take charge

A single, repeatable score

The same inputs always produce the same number — no scare tactics, no moving goalposts.

Ranked, plain-language fixes

Know what to do first and why it matters, in words you don’t need to be technical to follow.

Re-scan and watch it improve

Immediate feedback as you tighten things up, so progress is always visible.

Under the hood

What a scan actually reads

Six categories, fixed weights

A scan looks at your device, your apps, your privacy exposure, the network you’re on, your account settings and general hygiene. Each category is scored on its own, then combined using weights that never change between scans. You can open any category and see the individual findings that moved it.

Signals read on the device

The app checks things Android already exposes: whether a screen lock is set, how strong the platform rates it, how old the security patch level is, whether USB debugging is on, and whether the device shows signs of being rooted or running unlocked firmware. Nothing is inferred from your content.

Checks that can’t run say so

Some signals aren’t readable on every device — verified boot state is the common one. When a check can’t run, NexGuard reports it as unavailable rather than quietly counting it as a pass. A score built on assumptions isn’t worth having.

You make the change, in Android

Every fix links straight to the Android settings screen where it lives. NexGuard never flips a setting on your behalf, so nothing changes on your phone that you didn’t do yourself and can’t undo the same way.

Questions

For individuals: common questions

Does NexGuard scan for viruses?
No, and it doesn’t claim to. A credible malware scanner needs a licensed signature feed, and an antivirus that always reports “clean” is worse than none at all. NexGuard works on configuration and exposure instead — weak locks, stale patches, over-permissioned apps, risky settings — which is where most real-world compromise of a phone actually starts.
Will my score change if I don’t do anything?
Only if something on your device changes. The engine is deterministic: identical inputs always produce an identical number. If your score drops, something genuinely moved — an app gained a permission, a patch aged past a threshold, a setting changed — and the app will name it.
Does the app change my settings for me?
No. It shows you what to fix, why it matters and which Android screen to do it on. Nothing is altered without you.
What permissions does it need?
Very few: internet and network state, notifications you control, biometric unlock, and a normal permission that reveals how strong your screen lock is rated — never the lock itself. No SMS, no call log, no microphone, no camera, no background location.
