What changed this week, and whether you are ahead

A weekly or monthly summary built from your own scans: where your score started and finished, what you fixed, which permissions appeared since last time, and what is still open. It arrives in your Alerts inbox on its own cadence, and it is assembled from the records already there rather than saved as a second copy.

Why it matters

The problem

A security score on its own tells you today’s number and nothing about direction. Sixty-eight might be six points of progress or twelve points of decline, and the difference is the only part that tells you whether what you are doing is working.

The NexGuard approach

How it works

A report puts the period’s endpoints side by side and lists what moved between them — recommendations closed, permissions newly granted, exposures still open. It is computed on demand from the scans in your account rather than stored as a second copy, so it can never drift from the data it describes.

How it works

Reports, step by step

01

Period

A week or a month closes. The report takes the scans inside that window.

02

Endpoints

The first and last scores in the period become the start and end of the movement.

03

Changes

Closed recommendations, newly granted permissions and still-open findings are gathered.

04

Arrives

It lands in your Alerts inbox in plain language, with the numbers it is based on visible — and the Reports switch turns it off whenever you like.

What you’ll get

Built the NexGuard way

Direction, not just a number

Where you started and where you finished, so the score becomes a trend you can judge.

Never a stale copy

Reports are computed when you open one. There is no saved version to disagree with the scans behind it.

Nothing invented to fill space

A quiet period produces a short report. We will not manufacture findings to make a page look worth reading.

One switch, and it stops

Reports are their own category in Alerts. Turn them off and the other alert categories are untouched.

Privacy first

Designed to protect, never to snoop

Reports are built from your own scans and findings. Nothing is shared with anyone else, and a household owner never receives another member’s report.

How NexGuard protects your data

Questions

Reports, explained

Which plans include reports?
Pro and Family. A report is computed from your own scans at the moment you ask for one, so nothing about it is metered — what the plan buys is the report itself: the weekly and monthly views, the score movement, what you closed and what is still open. Free still sees every urgent finding as it happens, on the home screen, with the screen that fixes it.
Where do reports show up?
In your Alerts inbox, as their own category with their own switch. There is no separate reports screen to go hunting for, and turning Reports off leaves breach findings, permission changes and new-app alerts exactly as they were.
Are reports stored?
No. They are computed from your scan history when they are produced. That keeps the report and the data it describes from ever disagreeing.
What if I did not scan that week?
The report says so. With no scans in the period there is no movement to describe, and inventing one would make the report worse than useless.
Can I export a report?
Not yet. It is a read-only summary in the app today; export is on the roadmap rather than shipped, and we would rather say that than imply a button that is not there.
