What the household view shows

For each member: their security score, the band it falls in, how many recommendations they still have open, and when they last scanned. That is the complete list — enough to notice someone has drifted, and to say something.

What it never shows

Nobody in a household sees another member’s vault, files, notes, authenticator codes, messages, browsing or location. The roll-up is computed from each person’s own records and exposes only the summary above. There is no setting that widens it.

This is not parental monitoring

A NexGuard household is a shared posture dashboard, not a surveillance tool. If what you need is to read a child’s messages or track their location, NexGuard is the wrong product, and we’d rather tell you that plainly than sell you something that won’t do it.

Joining and leaving

The plan owner invites members by email, and each person accepts with their own account and their own credentials. A person belongs to one household at a time, and leaving takes their data with them — their vault was never readable by the household in the first place.

Questions

Families: common questions

Can I see my family member’s messages or photos?
No. You see their security score, their band, their count of open recommendations and their last scan time. Their vault and personal content stay private to them, with no override for the plan owner.
Does everyone need their own account?
Yes. Each member signs in with their own credentials and their own encryption keys. That’s what makes shared visibility possible without shared secrets — a single shared login would mean one person could open everyone’s vault.
What can the plan owner actually do?
Invite and remove members, and see the household posture summary. Ownership manages the plan; it doesn’t grant access to anyone’s private data.
Is there a minimum age?
You must be at least 13 to use NexGuard. Age and eligibility requirements may vary based on location, account type and applicable law — where the law sets a higher minimum, the higher age applies.
