Find out whether your details are already exposed

Data breaches happen to companies you trust — and your email can end up in a public dump without you ever hearing about it. Add the addresses you own and check them against known breach-exposure data, with a clear next step for anything found. Checks run when you run them, and you can switch on a daily re-check for any address — off unless you ask.

Why it matters

The problem

When a service you use is breached, the leaked credentials can circulate for months before you find out — often only after someone tries to use them. By then the damage is done. Most people have no early-warning system at all.

The NexGuard approach

How it works

You add the email addresses you care about and run a check. NexGuard compares them against known breach-exposure data and surfaces a clear, ranked finding with a concrete fix — never a vague scare, and never an invented result. We only ever check addresses you tell us to. One thing is not finished: no breach data source is connected yet, so today a check comes back “not checked” rather than a result. That is the honest answer to a lookup that could not run — the alternative, reporting “no breaches found”, would be a clean bill of health nobody earned.

How it works

Breach Exposure Checks, step by step

01

Exposure

A service you used is breached and credentials leak into known exposure datasets.

02

Severity

NexGuard rates the alert — critical, medium or informational — by what was exposed.

03

Finding

You get a plain-language result explaining exactly what was found, and where.

04

Response

Follow the recommended action — change a password, turn on 2FA — and mark it resolved.

What you’ll get

Built the NexGuard way

Checks you control

Check an address you own against known breach data whenever you want — with the source and the date.

Severity you can act on

Every finding is ranked and paired with a specific next step, so you fix the important things first.

Resolution tracking

Mark findings resolved as you act. Your history shows what you’ve already handled.

Privacy first

Designed to protect, never to snoop

Breach checks only ever run against the addresses you choose to add. NexGuard does not access illegal or unauthorised data sources, and never asks for your actual passwords — it checks exposure against known breach data and tells you what to change.

Questions

Breach Exposure Checks, explained

Where does the breach data come from?
From reputable, lawful breach-exposure data about credentials that have already leaked publicly. NexGuard does not access private, illegal or unauthorised sources.
Do you need my passwords?
No. You add the email addresses you want watched. NexGuard never asks you to hand over your actual passwords to check them.
Which plans include breach checks?
Breach exposure checks are part of NexGuard on every plan, Free included. Higher plans raise the daily limits on the tools around it.
Does NexGuard watch my addresses in the background?
No. You run the check and you see the result. We would rather say that plainly than imply a watch that is not running.
